The Red Sox' 2019 home opener will take a while to arrive on the calendar -- the team will open next season with an 11-game road swing before the team returns to Fenway to host Toronto for the first home game of the year on Tuesday, April 9.

The Sox will start the year in Seattle and play the Mariners in a four-game series at Safeco Field, starting Thursday, March 28. Next, the Sox will travel to Oakland for a four-game set with the A's from April 1-4 before heading to Phoenix for a three-game interleague series against the Diamondbacks from April 5-7.

The Red Sox will meet the Yankees for the first time in a two-game series in New York on April 16-17. Since the Red Sox' historic two-game series with the Yankees in London on June 29-30 will technically count as "home'' games for the Sox, the Yankees will not play a series at Fenway until July 25-28.

In addition to the Diamondbacks, the Red Sox interleague series will also include visits to San Diego (Aug. 23-25), Colorado (Aug. 27-28) and Philadelphia (Sept. 14-15). Meanwhile, the Sox will host interleague series with the Los Angeles Dodgers (July 12-14) and San Francisco Giants (Sept. 17-19).

The season concludes at Fenway with a three-game series with Baltimore.
