BSJ Daily Briefing 08.15.18: Porcello bounces back with a gem

Good morning!

• A big bounce-back performance for Rick Porcello on Tuesday night with seven innings of one-run ball. It's going to be interesting to see where the team lines him up for a postseason start in the rotation given his spotty track record on that front. He's earned consideration for No. 2 in the rotation.


• Everything Alex Cora touches just turns to gold this year as Greg points out. Pulls Porcello at the perfect time with a pinch hitter on Tuesday night and gets rewarded with a Brock Holt homer.


• Chris took a look at the drop issues that Eric Decker is dealing with. Luckily Pats survived a scare on Tuesday as well when Philip Dorsett went down, but CP reports it's nothing serious.
