THREE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

Good day for some young players: This is about the point in camp — especially after two off days — where things start to slow down for the rookies and they start playing a little bit. Thought most of the younger players — especially CB J.C. Jackson, RB Ralph Webb and QB Danny Etling — had their best practices of camp. Jackson gets his hands on a lot of passes, Webb is starting play faster, and Etling was much more accurate.

PUP list gets emptied: With Nate Ebner, Cyrus Jones and Jonathan Jones all on the field in pads (briefly), that means the Patriots no longer have any players on the PUP list and none will start the season there. That's good news, and will make for even more of a roster squeeze.
