Live Coverage: With no joint practices, Patriots continue push toward preseason taken at Gillette Stadium (Patriots)

(Adam Richins/Boston Sports Journal)

FOXBOROUGH -- Saturday marks the last day of a four-day stretch of practices before the Patriots will get Sunday off. It's been an interesting stretch of camp -- with no joint practices looming on the horizon, the roster has been able to get in some good work, but there could be a bit of an itch starting to set in. It's time to hit someone else for a change. We'll see how that manifests itself on Saturday, as well as the start of next week. Keep it here all morning for updates from training camp practice No. 9.

10:21 a.m.: Off to run Bill's Hill. Looks like practice is wrapping up a bit early. Nasty rain continues.

10:15 a.m.: Ryan Izzo with the impressive catch in traffic, is hit by A,J. Moore, and holds on.

10:13 a.m.: Pretty steady rain coming down now for the first time in camp. Backups and rookies mostly in 11-on-11s. Want to see how the youngsters respond to the adverse conditions. (Nice pass from Etling to Berrios.)

10:11 a.m.: Lucien with the drop at the start of 11-on-11s.

10:11 a.m.: Gronkowski runs a lap for jumping.

10:07 a.m.: Lots of situational football right now. But this is a pretty slow, low-intensity workout.

10:03 a.m.: Offense working on Hail Mary. Dorsett came down with it in the end zone.

9:59 a.m.: Kenny Britt has come back up to the main field. He's wandered away from the 11-on-11s, and is now playing with his kids near the family area. Not sure what's going on. Not sure I've ever seen that happen before. (Now, he's leaving. He was limited today, so...) Anyway, he's talking with Kraft in the corner of the practice field.

9:58 a.m.: Robert Kraft on the field this AM.

9:55 a.m.: Waddle in at right tackle again without Cannon. It's also pretty clear they're managing Trey Flowers' reps at this point -- he's been on the sidelines since the start of the 11-on-11s. Conspicuous in his absence.

9:47 a.m.: Bojorquez just delivered a 5.21 punt. Oof.

9:47 a.m.: Edelman makes a great catch in a COT passing drill, but follows that with a drop. (He's a little frustrated with his performance this morning.) Hogan hauled in an impressive ball from Brady over the middle. Hogan is having a couple of really good days.

9:45 a.m.: Punting -- Allen gets 3.55, 4.16, 4.85, 4.20, 4.42 and 4.26. Bojorquez has 3.75, 4.25 and 5.13. (McCarron muffed the last punt in the end zone. Not great.)

9:32 a.m.: Brady and Decker spending a lot of time together in between sessions.

9:31 a.m.: Britt down to the rehab field.

9:20 a.m.: Rob Ninkovich is on the field with some of the defensive linemen/linebackers.

9:17 a.m.: Hogan makes a sensational one-handed grab in an early passing drill after getting a bump from a coach/defender.

9:11 a.m.: Tom Brady Circle of Trust alert -- Hogan, Decker, Dorsett, White, Gronlowski, Edelman. (Although it's with the whole group of QBs, so it's not an exclusive COT situation.)
