First and 10: Patriots enter final week before start of NFL's summer vacation; Happy (Belated) Birthday, Tedy Bruschi taken at BSJ Headquarters (Patriots)

Adam Richins/Boston Sports Journal

Welcome to first and 10, a roundup of all the (mostly) Patriots-related news you need to start your Monday. Grab your coffee and let’s get to it.

Welcome back to the week! Let's set the stage for the next few days:

--This signals the final week of OTAs. It's the last real week at the facility before the league takes a six-week summer vacation and scatters before coming back for training camp in July. The Patriots have workouts scheduled for Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (NO DAYS OFF), and there's media availability scheduled for Thursday. It'll be interesting to see if we see Nos. 12 and/or 87 this week.

--A few things we'll be keeping an eye on this week? The back end of the cornerback depth chart, as well as the situation at wide receiver. While it'll be tough to gauge the state of the offensive line because of injury, lack of pads and the mixing and matching, we'll keep an eye out there as well. And the looming punter battle is also worth monitoring.

--No birthdays on Monday, but over the weekend, one of the most popular Patriots of all time turned 45.
