Live Coverage: Patriots back on field for Thursday's OTA session taken at Gillette Stadium (Patriots)

(Greg Bedard)

FOXBOROUGH -- The Patriots have pulled back the curtain to let us watch Thursday's OTA session. We'll have notes here throughout the rest of the workout.

10:59 a.m.: We'll have full attendance along shortly on this bright day, but three of the big names that we've seen this morning are Dont'a Hightower, Julian Edelman and Trey Flowers. We didn't see Flowers and Hightower at last week's session.

11:05 a.m.: Sony Michel is working out with the rest of the backs in front of us in the media. He's bigger than I anticipated. I mean, he's not Corey Dillon, but he's bigger than I thought he'd be.

11:06 a.m.: Marcus Cannon, Trent Brown, Braxton Berrios, Keion Crossen, Malcom Brown and Jonathan Jones are part of a group that has started working on the lower field.

11:11 a.m.: BC's Steve Addazio is in the house for today's workout.

11:18 a.m.: Hightower appears to be moving without an issue. I mean, there are no pads, so you take it with a grain of salt. But he doesn't appear to be limited, other than an occasional stretch of the right heel.

11:24 a.m.: Jacob Hollister just went up and made a great catch over Jordan Richards in a passing drill.

11:26 a.m.: Left to right, it appears today's starting offensive line is Waddle-Croston-Andrews-Mason-Ulrick Johnon.

11:27 a.m.: Riley McCarron is shagging punts. Smart guy -- that sort of special teams value will help at the back end of that wide receiver depth chart.

11:31 a.m.: This is probably out there already, but no knee brace for Edelman.

11:40 a.m.: Rookie punter Corey Bojorquez has a big leg. This will be quite a competition. (McCarron just botched a punt return. And then Jomal Wiltz did the same.)

11:43 a.m.: Right to left -- Adrian Clayborn, Lawrence Guy, Danny Shelton and Trey Flowers makes for an impressive front four. Hightower lines up outside of Flowers at one edge and Van Noy on the other, with Elandon Roberts in the middle. (When the No. 2 defense -- or a reasonable facsimile thereof -- appears on the field, Hightower is in the middle.)

11:47 a.m.: Vinny Valentine jumped, and has to run a lap.

11:54 a.m.: 11-on-11s. Hoyer looks sharper than last week, finishing 7-for-9 with one bad ball, a pass that was picked by Damarius Travis on a tip. (He also threw one behind Jacob Hollister, who was otherwise having a having good day.) Etling goes 1-for-3.

12:14 p.m.: 7-on-7s. Hoyer goes 5-for-5 with a few nice checkdowns to James White. Etling goes 4-for-5. That's followed with 11-on-11s, where Hoyer goes 5-for-9 (after starting a pretty bad 2-for-6) and Etling is 1-for-3. Christian Sam had a nice PBU on Etling's last pass attempt.

12:32 p.m.: Things are wrapping up here now. Will have more info shortly, but media availability is about to begin.

In the final session, the quarterbacks ended things on an up note, with Hoyer going 11-for-11 on an 11-on-11 drill that looked to be a two-minute sort of scenario. On the far field, Etling was 11-for-12. James White and Jacob Hollister were among Hoyer's favorite targets.
