BLOOMINGTON, Minn. -- Tom Brady can hang around Foxborough as long as he wants.
In an interview with the NFL Network on Wednesday, Patriots owner Robert Kraft and team president Jonathan Kraft both said that the quarterback has “earned the right” decide when he no longer wants to be a member of the Patriots.
“I think Tom Brady’s earned the right to have that be a decision he makes when wants to make it,” Jonathan said.
“Our intent is, we have the best people in their respective positions, and we keep them here for a very long time,” Robert added.
Andrea Kremer asked the duo about the reported dysfunction within the franchise, which grew out of the ESPN report earlier this season.
“No. No,” Robert said.
“There’s no dysfunction,” Jonathan added. “Zero.”
“No. You have tension,” Robert said. “I think tension, a certain amount of tension helps make great things happen.”
“Dysfunction is when people take energy and use it to think about how to undermine other people,” Jonathan said. “That does not happen. If it happens in this organization, I haven’t seen it.”
