SAN FRANCISCO -- The Celtics announced on Friday afternoon that Marcus Smart will be sidelined for two weeks due to right hand lacerations suffered at the team hotel on Wednesday after cutting his hand on glass. The 23-year-old guard flew back to Boston on Thursday and was evaluated by Drs. Tony Schena and Drew Terono at New England Baptist Hospital.

Smart tweeted a pair of messages on Friday afternoon at the same time the team announced the injury, explaining how he suffered the injury and apologizing for it.
