Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski can add to their respective resumes.
It was announced on Friday that the duo were both named AP first-team All-Pros. For Brady, it was the third time he’s landed the honor, and for Gronkowski, it marks the fourth time he’s been named a first-team All-Pro.
At the age of 40, Brady finished first in the NFL with 4,577 passing yards, and was third with 32 touchdown passes and a passer rating of 102.8. It’s worth mentioning that in the two previous years he was a first-team All-Pro, Brady went on to win MVP.
Gronkowski finished the regular season with 1,084 receiving yards and 8 touchdowns, leading the tight end position in yardage despite missing two games.
The honor also comes with an added financial benefit for the tight end — it means he’s earned an extra $2.5 million in incentives, bringing his annual haul to $5.5 million in incentives. (Per our colleague Miguel, it increases his 2017 cash intake to $10,506,880.)
