Rob Gronkowski: I 'learned from mistake,' ready to focus on Steelers

In his first chat with the media since his one-game suspension was announced, Rob Gronkowski said Friday he “definitely learned from his mistake,” but now, the focus was all about Pittsburgh.

The tight end, who didn’t play last Monday against Miami because a late hit on Buffalo’s Tre’Davious White left him banned for a game, said he’s looking forward, not back.


“With the game Sunday against the Steelers, I’m putting my focus on them right now,” said Gronkowski, who didn’t indicate if he reached to to White in the wake of the incident. “I definitely learned from the mistake that I made, for sure.

“Just focused on the Steelers.”

Gronkowski was asked if it was tough for him to be away.

“I missed it. Missed the boys,” he said. “Feels good (to be back).”

Gronkowski said he spent the time away “chilling.” Asked if it was hard to watch while he was sidelined, he shrugged.

“Big game this Sunday,” he said before bringing the press conference to an abrupt end.

"Thank you, guys," he said. "I'm out."
