There’s a new No. 1 at the top of our rankings — again. The Steelers survived to beat the Ravens, while the Patriots dropped their first road game since January 2016. Carolina and Jacksonville are among our risers, while Seattle and Oakland slipped. Read on to check out the rest of our big board.
1. Steelers (11-2 — last week, No. 3): Pittsburgh has won its last three games by a total of seven points. The defense, which struggled against the Ravens, will be tested by New England. This week: vs. Patriots.
2. Patriots (10-3 — last week, No. 1): Every year, it feels like the Patriots lose one game we don’t really expect them to lose. Their annual mulligan. Was Monday night this year’s mulligan? This week: at Steelers.
3. Eagles (11-2 — last week, No. 3): The Carson Wentz injury is a killer, although there are some who believe that Nick Foles has a little Jeff Hostetler in him. We shall see.
With the Eagles clinching the NFC East, at least one team has won its division the season after finishing in or tied for last place in 14 of the past 15 seasons.
