ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Tom Brady blew up at offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels in the first half of Sunday’s 23-3 win over the Bills in Buffalo.
“Just football,” Brady smiled when asked about it after the game. “We’ve been around each other a lot. I love Josh.”
But where does it rank when it comes to Brady’s sideline blowups? Here are the most memorable:
--Brady and former offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien were seen barking at each other during a game against the Redskins in Washington in 2011. Brady later said O’Brien let him have it, but he later said he “deserved it” because of a bad throw.
“I deserved it. I kind of chirped back, and he didn’t like it. I was kind of fiery at the time, too,” Brady said “We cooled off pretty quick. That’s Billy’s style. Billy’s gonna let you know if he doesn’t like something that you did. He handles it in the right way, in a way that you really respected. You know he’s fiery, you know he just wants to get the job done. We cooled off. We ended up winning the game (when) Jerod Mayo made a great interception to end that game. By the time we got to the locker room, we were good.”
--In September 2013, Brady was in the early stages of his separation from Wes Welker, and a Thursday night game against the Jets, things kind of boiled over after some drops from the likes of Aaron Dobson.
"I've got to do a better job with my body language," Brady said after the game. "I can definitely improve on that. I wouldn't say that's a real strong point of mine right now."
--In 2009, when he was having trouble connecting with new receiver Joey Galloway, he was seen at one point yelling exasperatedly at Galloway, “It’s not that (expletive) hard!”
