Brad Stevens named Eastern Conference Coach of the Month for November

The NBA announced Friday that Brad Stevens was selected as Eastern Conference Coach of the Month in November. The 41-year-old led Boston to a 14-2 record over 30 days, highlighted by a 16-game winning streak that came to an end last Wednesday night. 

Boston's 14 wins in November tied for the team’s most wins in the month in franchise history (14-2, 2008-09). It was the third time in Stevens' career that he earned Coach of the Month honors (February 2016, April 2015). Given the C's hot start, the head coach is likely the frontrunner for Coach of the Year honors at the quarter pole of the NBA season.

In other November award news, Kyrie Irving (Eastern Conference Player of the Month) and Jayson Tatum (Rookie of the Month) were both nominated for awards in November but they fell short to LeBron James and Ben Simmons respectively.
