FOXBOROUGH — Relatively good news for the Patriots on the injury front on Thursday, as offensive tackle Marcus Cannon and wide receiver Chris Hogan were the only two DNPs for New England, shrinking the number of players who did not practice from five on Wednesday to just two on Thursday.
It’s unlikely we’ll be see Cannon (ankle) and Hogan (shoulder) in Buffalo against the Bills. That’ll mean more work for the likes of backup tackle LaAdrian Waddle, who was limited on Thursday because of an ankle injury he sustained in Sunday’s win over the Dolphins. In addition, look for wide receivers Phillip Dorsett and Danny Amendola to get more work in the passing game with Hogan on the shelf.
In all, the Patriots got Waddle (ankle), Tom Brady (Achilles) and linebacker Trevor Reilly (concussion) all back after missing Wednesday’s practice.
