Good morning!
A couple of quick thoughts while I contemplate whether or not Dwayne Allen will reemerge after the bye week:
- Makes for a busy night at BSJ (we could spread it out a little, you know), but it's kind of cool that the Bruins are at MSG playing the Rangers, and the Celtics are hosting the Lakers. I don't even care all that much about the state of the teams at this point: those are classic matchups that pique your interest a little.
- Looks like Brad Friedel will be the new coach of the Revolution. Again, the goal is for BSJ to start providing coverage for next season.
- So in the course of some film study for this story, I noticed another play (there was one earlier in the season vs. the Saints) where Stephon Gilmore's effort could be questioned from the game against the Bucs (it can be found on the bottom here). Gilmore hasn't played since. Is there a connection? I don't know, but I'm guessing the coaches weren't real thrilled with that play.
- So about my Tom Brady-Bill Belichick "hot take" from yesterday's Felger & Mazz show: I got clarification on Belichick saying he met weekly with Jimmy Garoppolo (it was part of the QB group meeting), and we wondered why Belichick framed it the way he did. Felger asked me for my best guess, forced me to go down the Felger rabbit hole, and I did. That's all there is to it. Complete guess on my part. Do with it what you will, but I certainly have no conviction about it.
- Still in the planning stages for our first BSJ event, but here's a little tease: if you're going to the Bruins and/or Celtics games on Black Friday (Nov. 24), keep the time between games open in The Garden area.

- We're going to kick in our advertising plan very soon. We're looking for advertising partners who realize the unique value of BSJ, and like to support small, home-grown businesses.
