BSJ Daily Briefing 10.13.17: Don't do this taken at BSJ Headquarters (Regular Features)

(Adam Richins for BSJ)

Good morning on this Friday the 13th ... if you survive it.

Little lull here in the schedule after The Firing, the Bruins don't have a game in the desert, the Celtics start next week and the Patriots are waiting on the Jets.

Looking for a little levity? How about this story in which Roger Goodell's wife admitted to having an anonymous Twitter account to defend her husband.

Well, I can see Roger's getting great advice at home if he's using his wife as a sounding board on touchy subjects. I'm shocked he usually steps in doo-doo with important decisions.

This was a terrible decision on many levels, but we'll start here: did Jane Skinner Goodell actually think she was going to make a difference? What would ever make you think, "OK, this would be a really good idea"? The ironic thing is, she used to be in the media!

Who's going to New Jersey?

We have a lot of BSJ members and fans in the NY/NJ Metro area (it's our second home). Anyone having a tailgate that Chris Price and I could stop by? We'd love to pop in and say hi. Let us know.

A few reminders:

And away we go...
