Seems like the Celtics preseason debut with the new Big 3 couldn't have gone any more perfectly.
In fact, the whole vibe around the team feels like something out of Disneyland. And I the only one that thinks this? Is this the way it goes with the Celtics, or the NBA in general?
Let me explain. I haven't exactly been the biggest NBA guy in recent years, but I do keep tabs on what's going on and the coverage of the team (from everybody) has been over-the-top bliss in my opinion. Now, they've only played one game, and maybe it's because (I think) the reporters don't get to see much of practice (why is that again, nuclear secrets?), but basically the feeling around the team is, 'Greatest team ever.' It's a little weird, in my opinion. I don't need anybody to get ripped or anything, but there are no concerns at all about this team other than the lack of a true big man? Everybody's in the greatest shape ever, and is poised for a career year?
Maybe I've just been in too many NFL locker rooms, watched too many Red Sox games and watching this team will do my scarred sports heart some good ...
