So, yeah, they dragged it out and caused us to pull out our hair more than a few times, but they got the job done and now can reap the rewards: Chris Sale can sit out today's start (thanks Hector Velazquez) and prime himself for Thursday's expected opener against the Astros in the Division Series.
Quite a little appetizer for the postseason at Fenway with a playoff-like atmosphere complete with a sharp start from Drew Pomeranz and big moments (David Price's strikeout of George Springer in the seventh, Mookie Betts' home run in the eighth, a Red Sox double steal, etc).
Going to be a lot of fun over the next week.
