BSJ Daily Briefing 09.04.17 taken at BSJ Headquarters (Regular Features)

Wendell Cruz/USA TODAY Sports

Quite a whirlwind this Labor Day weekend on the Boston sports landscape. The Red Sox managed to keep the door open for the Yankees in the AL East race after dropping three of four in the Bronx. Meanwhile, the Patriots were very busy over the past two days as roster cutdown day was full of surprises on Saturday and the aftermath on Sunday was just as busy. Chris and Greg both did great job covering all the madness, so be sure to get caught up with everything from the past two days in the Patriots section.

Incredibly, Pats opening night is just three days away now. Between that, the Red Sox in a tightening pennant race and the C's/Bruins starting training camp in mere weeks, things are only going to get busier here at the BSJ. Should be a fun time of year.
