PREGAME NOTES

The Bruins could have some reinforcements back in time for Saturday’s matinee, as Bruce Cassidy noted on Friday that Derek Forbort has cleared COVID protocols. 

However, both Matt Grzelcyk and Connor Clifton remain in COVID protocols — and all of the B’s skaters still on the shelf due to injury will be unavailable. 

Linus Ullmark will get the start in net for Boston. 

Despite losing to the Sabres on Thursday, the Predators have been red hot since the start of December — going 12-2-1 over their last 15 outings.
