PREGAME NOTES

The Bruins have Tuukka Rask back on the NHL roster, but he won’t start until Thursday at the earliest. Linus Ullmark will get the call in net for Wednesday’s matchup against Montreal. 

The Bruins are set to get some reinforcements for their Original Six matchup, with both Jake DeBrusk and Tomas Nosek cleared from COVID protocols and slotting back into the bottom-six corps. Both Derek Forbort and Connor Clifton remain in COVID protocols. 

Both Nick Foligno (lower body) and Trent Frederic (upper body) remain out of the lineup. 

Wednesday stands as the Canadiens’ first game since Jan. 1 — with Montreal in the midst of a stretch that has seen nine of their last 12 games postponed due to COVID and attendance issues.
