PREGAME NOTES

Despite exiting Wednesday’s win over the Sabres after going headfirst into the boards, Charlie McAvoy has been cleared for game action and will not have any restrictions on Friday, per Bruce Cassidy. 

Jeremy Swayman will get the start once again on Friday, with Cassidy noting earlier this week that whoever got the nod on Wednesday would start again on Black Friday — given the lack of practice time between games. 

Tomas Nosek will center a third line with Jake DeBrusk and Craig Smith, while Erik Haula will center Anton Blidh and Curtis Lazar.
