PREGAME NOTES

Jeremy Swayman will get the start in net for Boston, but otherwise, there are not expected to be any lineup changes for the Bruins. Patrice Bergeron did not skate on Tuesday morning, but it was a “maintenance day” for the B’s captain, according to Bruce Cassidy.

David Pastrnak — now up to 29 goals in his last 37 games — enjoys any chance he has to play against the Maple Leafs. In his last 24 games against Toronto (including playoffs), David Pastrnak has 17 goals and 19 assists.

This marks the Maple Leafs’ first game at TD Garden since Oct. 22, 2019.

Entering Tuesday night, the Bruins and Leafs are tied for third place in the Atlantic Division standings with 87 points and an identical 41-19-5 record through 65 games.

"I think we're all a little bit curious, kind of like going into Tampa earlier, saw them last week, getting familiar with them again. Toronto's the same thing. We've got them a couple times down the stretch here. It will be good,” Cassidy said. “They've been two passionate fanbases, they've been good hockey games. Obviously the playoff series has been tilted in our favor, but the regular season has gone back and forth. I think our players will be excited to play because it was developing into a rivalry that hopefully gets up and running again now that we're back in the same division. They should be good to go. It will be a good test."

Petr Mrazek is set to get the start in net for Toronto. In his career against Boston, Mrazek is 4-2-1 with an .888 save percentage.

Special-teams play could influence this Original-Six showdown. Not only do the Leafs boast the top power-play unit in the league with a 29.2 percent success rate, but they also feature an opportunistic penalty kill that leads the NHL with 10 shorthanded tallies. The Bruins, who have coughed up goals against on the power play in two of their last three games, will need to be crisp with the puck against a PK that likes to pressure high.

Betway Odds: The Bruins are -150 favorites at Betway in tonight’s game against the Maple Leafs. TD Garden has historically been a house of horrors for the Maple Leafs, who have now dropped three straight games on the road this season. The last time that Toronto beat the Bruins at TD Garden in the regular season was way back on Nov. 11, 2017.
