PREGAME NOTES

Game 3 will feature two rookie netminders making their first career Stanley Cup Playoffs starts — as Jeremy Swayman will go up against Pyotr Kochetkov. Kochetkov will stand as Carolina’s top option for the time being with both Frederik Andersen and Antti Raanta still sidelined due to injury.

Lindholm will not play after the defenseman left Game 2 during the second period after a hit from Svechnikov. Reilly, who had been scratched for Games 1 and 2, will replace him.

Wagner, who had been scratched the first two games of the series, will replace Frederic in the lineup. Nosek will be slotted up to the third line with Coyle and Smith.

Boston will open the game with the Marchand-Bergeron-Pastrnak line intact after reuniting the trio midway through Wednesday’s Game 2 loss.
