PREGAME NOTES

With Tuukka Rask ruled out this week due to his nagging lower-body injury, Jeremy Swayman will get the start on Tuesday — his first start against NHL competition since Jan. 6 against the Wild. 

Nick Foligno will draw into the lineup, with the veteran forward replacing Anton Blidh on the fourth line. Erik Haula exited COVID protocols coming out of the break and will return to his usual spot at 2C. Trent Frederic will join Blidh as a scratch up front.

Urho Vaakanainen remains sidelined with an upper-body injury. 

The Penguins — winless in their last four games — will be shorthanded once again on Tuesday, as Evgeni Malkin entered COVID protocols on Monday.
