PREGAME NOTES

With Jake DeBrusk entering COVID-19 protocols, Oskar Steen will slot up in the lineup and skate on a third line with Charlie Coyle and Nick Foligno. Curtis Lazar will return to the lineup after missing Sunday’s matinee against the Red Wings.

Linus Ullmark will get the start in net tonight. 

DeBrusk might be on the shelf, but the B’s are also set to battle a severely shorthanded Devils team. Dougie Hamilton will be out for an extended stretch after taking a puck to the face and breaking his jaw on Sunday, while captain Nico Hischier will not play tonight due to a lower-body injury. New Jersey will also lose two top-six wingers in Pavel Zacha and Yegor Sharangovich — both of whom were placed in COVID protocols.
