FINAL: Rays 3, Red Sox 2 - Two errors on same play blows game, leads to Sale no-decision
Well, consider the good vibes from the weekend ... completely gone!
The Sox looked like they were going to get a feel-good win with Chris Sale leaving with a 2-0 lead, but then ... disaster.
Matt Strahm was hit on the wrist on a comebacker, which should have left the bases loaded ... but no. He decided to throw to first without looking, well wide. Then Franchy Cordero threw home without looking, and Christian Vazquez couldn't smother it. Two errors, two runs. And that was the difference.
Oh, Alex Verdugo was picked off third with no outs the next inning.
LIttle League stuff.
A bad, bad loss and the Sox now have failed to win any of their first 10 series in the division.
