FINAL: Red Sox 5, Baltimore Orioles 1 - Bello Cruises Through Six, Sox Pour On Runs Late

The Red Sox (65-57) make it two in a row against the Baltimore Orioles (72-52), with tonight's final being 5-1.

The Sox wouldn't get a run on the board until the sixth inning, when Tyler O'Neill singled to center to bring in Rafaela to score. Then in the seventh, Jarren Duran hit a two out, two run single that brought Triston Casas and Masataka Yoshida across the plate. Rafael Devers added to the run total in the eighth with a two run home run to right center for his 27th of the season.

Brayan Bello got the start tonight, and he delivered in a huge way. He threw six innings, with five and two thirds of them being hitless. Gunnar Henderson would break that up with a solo home run, which was the only Oriole run of the game. Bello also struck out six and walked three. Brennan Bernardino would come in and start the seventh, getting only one out and giving up two hits. Lucas Sims would save the day after giving up a walk to load the bases, as he forced an Anthony Santander groundout to end the inning. Chris Martin pitched the eighth, giving up only a hit. Kenley Jansen would come in for a non-save outing, striking out one and getting the Orioles down in order to win the game. Jarren Duran saved Jansen from giving up a solo home run, as he robbed a home run from pinch hitter Eloy Jimenez for the second out of the ninth.

My Player of the Game: Brayan Bello - Although he has been struggling somewhat as of late, Bello brought his A-Game tonight, getting his eleventh win of the year and keeping the Sox 2.5 games within the wild card race.

Tomorrow, the Sox will look to win the series, with first pitch of game four being at 1:35 p.m.. Probable starters are Kutter Crawford (8-9, 4.21 ERA) and Albert Suarez (5-4, 3.39 ERA).
