FINAL: Red Sox 12, Angels 1 - Hamilton, Devers, O'Neill, and McGuire All Homer in Sox Rout

The Red Sox (7-3) will head home happy as they defeated the Los Angeles Angels (5-4) 12-2, lead by phenomenal pitching from Tanner Houck and lots of run support from the Sox hitters.

The Sox brought the bats today, scoring 12 runs on 12 hits, including four home runs, coming from the bats of David Hamilton (his first in MLB), Rafael Devers (2), Tyler O'Neill (5), and Reese McGuire (2). O'Neill is now tied for the league lead in home runs with Mookie Betts, and he leads the AL. 

The Red Sox pitching was great once again, giving up only 2 runs and striking out 8, while walking just 3 batters. Houck had 7 of those strikeouts and gave up no runs, while Chase Anderson gave up both runs on a Mike Trout home run and a wild pitch.

My Player of the Game: Reese McGuire - McGuire had his best game of the young season, going 2-4 with a three run shot, as well as an RBI single. He also had an RBI groundout in the eighth inning, and he walked in the 5th. A great game to build on for the Sox backstop.

The Sox will be off tomorrow as they head back home to Boston for Opening Day against the Orioles on Tuesday at 2:10 p.m.. Probable starters are Brayan Bello (1-0, 5.40 ERA) and Corbin Burnes (1-0, 2.31 ERA).
