FINAL: Chicago White Sox 6, Red Sox 1 - White Sox Score Five in Fifth After Questionable Walk taken at BSJ Headquarters (Red Sox)

Kamil Krzaczynski-USA TODAY Sports

The Red Sox (32-33) have now lost two straight to the Chicago White Sox (17-48), who had previously lost 14 games in a row. Today's game ends with a final score of 6-1.

The Sox could muster only five hits in the game, with their lone extra base hit being a Bobby Dalbec home run in the top of the fifth, which was his first of the year. David Hamilton had a two hit day, with Ceddanne Rafaela and Connor Wong getting the other hits.

What started as a good outing for Brayan Bello turned ugly quickly. He went in to the bottom of the fifth having allowed only three hits, but would end up loading the bases with two out after Zach DeLoach walked on a payoff pitch that was fairly inside the zone. This would lead to Andrew Vaughn getting an infield single to tie the game, and then Gavin Sheets would hit a grand slam to put up five runs for the White Sox in the fifth. Just the half inning prior, Alex Cora was ejected from the game by home plate umpire Alan Porter after arguing balls and strikes, when Jaime Westbrook struck out looking on a ball that Cora believed to be low. Zack Kelly would get the final out of the fifth, and Chase Anderson would pitch the rest of the game for the Red Sox, giving up just one hit, which was a Paul DeJong solo home run.

My Player of the Game: Bobby Dalbec - While most of the team did not show up today, Bobby got them on the board with his solo shot in the fifth. With it being his first of the year after struggling mightily, this could do wonders for his confidence moving forward.

The series finale will begin at 2:10 p.m. tomorrow afternoon. Probable starters for that one are Chris Felxen (2-5, 5.19 ERA), with the Red Sox starter currently undecided.
