Final - A's 4, Red Sox 1

The Red Sox' offensive struggle continued Wednesday night, compounded by some poor baserunning decisions, as they dropped their third straight, 4-1, to the Oakland A's.

The Sox managed five hits, but few when they needed them most as the Sox were 1-for-11 with runners in scoring position while stranding eight baserunners.

Eduardo Rodriguez struggled at times, allowing a tape-measure homer and balking home another. He did, on the bright side, show improved velocity.
