After two weeks, the Red Sox' offense went into hibernation for a night.

Having averaged more than seven runs per game, the Red Sox scored one run in the first and then were shutout the rest of the way as the Chicago White Sox beat the Red Sox, 3-1, snapping Boston's six-game winning streak.

Jake Burger hit an 0-and-2 pitch from Rich Hill out in the fifth with two men on for the only scoring of the game for the White Sox.

The Red Sox were limited to seven hits, all of them singles.
