Final: Red Sox 9, Rangers 1

No drama this time, and no need for a walkoff. The Red Sox took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first and never let up, cruising to a 9-1 victory.

The Sox pounded out 13 hits -- including four homers and the first major league homer for Connot Wong among them. The Big Three (Xander Bogaerts, Rafael Devers and JD Martinez) combined for six hits and three RBI.

Starter Nick Pivetta took a comebacker off the calf in the third inning and didn't return, but the Sox got six shutout innings from five different relievers to carry the load from there.
