Final: Rays 7, Red Sox 2 - Sox drubbed by steamrolling Rays

Two streaks continued Tuesday night, and neither was good news for the Red Sox.

The Tampa Bay Rays won their 11th straight to start the season, and defeated the Sox for the 11th straight time at Tropicana Field, 7-2..

Garrett Whitlock, coming off the IL for his first start of the season, was ambushed for five runs in five innings, allowing three homers along the way. In all, the Rays hit four home runs on the night, giving them 29 in 11 games this season.

Meanwhile, the Red Sox offense has scored just two runs in the last 18 innings. They managed just six hits -- none until the fifth, and only three through the first eight innings.
