Final: Red Sox 4, Rays 3

Blanked for the first six innings, the Red Sox erupted for three runs in the seventh and another in the eighth to overtake the Tampa Bay Rays, 4-3, and snap a three-game losing streak. The win was just the fifth in 17 tries against the Rays this season.

The Rays hit two homers off Rich Hill in the first four innings to grab a 3-0 lead before the Red Sox offense began to stir.

Christian Arroyo produced two runs with a double down the left field line and Kiké Hernandez followed with a game-tying double.

In the seventh, a sacrifice fly from Rafael Devers put the Sox ahead to stay.
