Final: Red Sox 6, Rays 0 (5)

In a rain-shortened mess at Fenway, the Red Sox came away with a 6-0 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays. Play was halted with two outs in the bottom of the fifth.

Xander Bogaerts belted a grand slam in the bottom of the fifth, adding to what had been a 1-0 Red Sox. Boston then added another run when Tampa Bay pitcher Brooks Raley committed an error at first, enabling J.D. Martinez to score from second.

A run-scoring single from Christian Arroyo in the second produced the first run.

Nate Eovaldi picked up the win with five shutout innings.
