Final: Red Sox 9, Rangers 8

The Red Sox staged a furious comeback effort over the final two innings, scoring two in the bottom of the eighth and four more in the bottom of the ninth to stage an improbable walk-off win over the Texas Rangers, 9-8.

Rob Refsnyder singled to left with one out and the bases loaded to deliver the winning run. It was the fourth walkoff win of the season for the Sox.

Rafael Devers, who had been 0-for-24, doubled home one run in the eighth and two more in the ninth.

The Sox bullpen had sprung several leaks, allowing four runs in relief of starter Rich Hill, who himself was off his game, allowing four runs in four-plus innings.
