Final: Orioles 5, Red Sox 3

The Red Sox' bullpen fell apart in the eighth inning, handing a 5-3 decision to the Baltimore Orioles and leaving the Sox 3-3 on their two-city road trip.

Jorge Mateo ripped a bases-clearing double down the left field line off John Schreiber, giving the Orioles a three-run lead. Xander Bogaerts hit a solo homer to lead off the ninth, but it wasn't nearly enough.

Pinch-hitter Franchy Cordero had tied the the game with a solo homer in the top of the eighth, but the lead didn't last long.
