Final: Red Sox 12, Mariners 1 - Boston cracks the game open after getting to Gonzales early
The Red Sox blew out the Mariners, 12-1, at Fenway on Wednesday to win two straight and win the series. Boston scored three runs in the first before six in the second to blow the game open. They added another three in the fifth. Brayan Bello ground through five innings, striking out seven and allowing three hits and one run. Justin Turner homered for Boston, and Pablo Reyes had four RBI. Marco Gonzales lasted just 1.2 innings for Seattle.

The Red Sox are looking to win the series against Seattle after responding to their skid with a big 9-4 win on Tuesday.
Bello is shooting for three wins in a row. He has five strikeouts and two earned runs in each of his last two starts, and his appearance prior saw him allow one earned run with six strikeouts. He has never faced the Mariners.
Gonzales has gone six innings in his last two starts, striking out four with three earned runs in Houston before two strikeouts and two earned runs at Detroit. This will be his sixth career start against Boston. He is 1-2 with a 5.26 ERA.
Kiké Hernández will return to the lineup at shortstop, batting sixth, after missing three games with left hamstring tightness. While the Red Sox shuffled their lineup, Seattle is trotting out nearly the same exact card as the previous two games, except Jose Caballero is in at second and the ninth spot in place of Kolten Wong.
