Final: Red Sox 2, Angels 1 - Sox take third straight  taken at Fenway Park  (Red Sox)

Justin Turner clubbed a two-run homer in the third inning and that stood up for the Red Sox to take a 2-1 victory over the Los Angeles Angels, the Red Sox' third straight win.

Garrett Whitlock became the first Red Sox starter this season to get past the fifth inning, going seven full and allowing just one run.

The Angels had the potential tying run on second in the eighth inning, but reliever Kaleb Ort picked off pinch-runner Brett Phillips for the third out, ending the threat.

With Kenley Jansen having saved the previous two games of the series, Ryan Brasier got the final three outs.
