The Red Sox win their second consecutive game against the Cleveland Guardians 11-7.

Garrett Crochet pitched his worst outing in a Red Sox uniform, yet Boston's late-inning offense in the eighth inning lead them towards the victory.

The Guardians scored the first run of the game n the second inning with a home run from Jhonkensy Noel.

However the Red Sox responded by scoring four consecutive runs. Nathaniel Lowe started the inning getting on base, and he was sent home by Romy Gonzalez, who picked up an RBI single.

Following Gonzalez, Masataka Yoshida recorded a ground-rule double putting two runners in scoring position, and Ceddanne Rafaela cleared the bases with a two-run RBI single.

Carlos Narvaez got on base with a hit, and Roman Anthony drove in the fourth run of the game to give Boston a 4-1 lead.

Boston then added to their lead with a solo home run from Lowe.

Crochet kept the Guardians at one run for the majority of his start, but his performance in the his final inning turned things sour. Crochet allowed a solo home run to Austin Hedges in the sixth inning, and then a two-run home run from David Fry turned the game into a one-run contest.

Crochet capped off the nightmare inning allowing a three-run home run to Bryan Rocchio, which gave the Guardians the lead.

Being down two runs late in the game, Boston responded in the same half inning with a two-run home run from Rafaela to tie the game.

The Red Sox received two shut-out innings in the seventh and eighth innings. Garrett Whitlock pitched the seventh leaving a runner at first base, and Justin Slaten pitched the Guardians into a double play to keep them at seven runs.

And in the bottom half of that inning, Alex Bregman drove in the game-winning run with an RBI single with two outs.

Jarren Duran and Trevor Story extended Boston's lead to four runs recording back-to-back RBI doubles against Cade Smith.

Brennan Bernardino then came into the ninth inning to secure the victory for Boston.

This was a massive victory for the Red Sox. This entire season the Red Sox have struggled to score runs late into the game, but their offense was consistent, especially through the late innings. It was a rough game by Crochet on the stat sheet, but the Red Sox picked up their ace to get the win.

Boston will wrap up their series against Cleveland tomorrow at 6:45 p.m.
