The Red Sox lose their second game in a row to the Cubs getting shutout against Shota Imanaga.

Imanaga pitched 7.0 innings only giving up five hits against Boston's lineup. The Red Sox had multiple chances with runners in scoring position during Imanaga's start, but they weren't able to execute.

Brayan Bello was the starter for the Red Sox, and the beginning of the game didn't go well. Bello allowed back-to-back home runs to Michael Busch and Kyle Tucker in the 1st inning and then allowed a sac fly in the 2nd inning giving the Cubs an early 3-0 lead.

The Cubs scored all their runs from the long ball. After Bello's exit after the 6th inning, Matt Shaw, Pete Crow-Armstrong, and Ian Happ all homered against Boston's bullpen.

The Cubs played as the overall better team in this game and the Red Sox had no answers at the plate.

Tomorrow, Boston will wrap up their series in Wrigley at 2:20 with Garrett Crochet taking the mound
