The Red Sox have now dropped four straight games losing the opening against the series to the Atlanta Braves 4-2.

Facing off against former ace Chris Sale, the Red Sox yet again struggled to produce runs. Sale pitched 7.0 innings on the mound allowing one earned run.

Even with Garrett Crochet on the mound, the Red Sox couldn't give their ace run support.

In the 2nd inning, Crochet allowed back-to-back home runs to Sean Murphy and Matt Olson giving the Braves a 2-0 lead the majority of the game.

The Red Sox finally got their run in the 7th inning with a solo home run from Rob Refsnyder.

Refsnyder's home run left the door open for a potential comeback in the final innings of this game, but a brutal 9th inning that saw Liam Hendriks, Brennan Bernardino, and Nick Burdi all make appearances on the mound turned the score 4-2 in favor of the Braves.

Trevor Story recorded an RBI hit in the Bottom of the 9th, but that was the only runs the Red Sox could produce.

Boston will continue their series with Atlanta tomorrow at 7:15 p.m.
