Final: Braves 10, Red Sox 4 - Braves get 16 hits winning rubber match against Red Sox
The Red Sox lose the rubber match against the Atlanta Braves 10-4 struggling to limit Atlanta's offensive surge at the plate.
Brayan Bello had a tough outing on the mound allowing 7 earned runs in 4.1 innings pitched. He started the day loading the bases with no outs in the 1st inning, and it resulted in the Braves taking an early 2-0 lead.
The Braves scored another run in the 3rd inning, but a Rafael Devers grand slam gave the Red Sox a 4-3 lead eliminating Bello's early damage.

However, Bello's struggles on the mound continued. The Braves tied the game in the 4th inning, and Bello yet again loaded the bases with no outs in the 5th inning. The Braves went on to score three runs in that inning, and Bello wasn't able to finish the inning.
Not only did Bello struggle limiting hits, but the righty allowed five walks on the day as well.
Sean Newcomb took on the mound and pitched the rest of the game. In 4.2 innings of relief pitching, Newcomb gave up 3 earned runs giving Boston's bullpen some rest.
Besides Devers' grand slam, the Red Sox didn't get much going against Braves starter Spencer Schwellenbach, who pitched 7.0 innings allowing 4 earned runs. Devers was the only notable bat in Boston's lineup. Along with his grand slam, Devers added a double to his stat sheet on the day.
The Red Sox will now start a series against the New York Mets tomorrow at Fenway Park. First pitch will be at 6:45 p.m.
