The Red Sox added three runs in the 9th inning to cap off the night.
Boston's five home runs gave Garrett Crochet the cushion he needed to pick up the win in this game. Crochet had another strong outing on the mound throwing 7.0 innings, striking out six Blue Jay batters, and only allowing two earned runs. Overall, it was great to see the Red Sox put up a great offensive performance with half the lineup going deep tonight.
The Red Sox will continue their series tomorrow at 7:07 p.m. with Lucas Giolito making his Red Sox debut after recovering from Tommy John surgery.
