Final: Orioles 5, Red Sox 4 -- Sale shelled

After taking a 4-0 lead by the third inning, things turned quickly against the Red Sox Monday night, as the Baltimore Orioles countered with five runs in the fourth and fifth and took a 5-4 victory.

Chris Sale blanked the O's for the two innings, but allowed a run in the third on four straight hits and another run in the fifth. Sale didn't record a single strikeout over five innings.

The Sox got a solo homer from Triston Casas and a three-run shot Rafael Devers early, but were shutout after the third inning. They left the potential tying run on second base in the ninth, as they fell back to the .500 mark.
