The Red Sox had their chances in the late innings, but couldn't cash in and found themselves on the short-end of a 6-2 decision to the Baltimore Orioles. The loss dropped the Sox back to .500 (13-13) and left them with a .500 road trip (3-3).

In the seventh and ninth, the Sox had two runners on, but couldn't produce the big hit to catch the O's. The Sox finished 1-for-7 with runners in scoring position.

The Orioles used three straight hits, a sacrifice bunt and a sac fly to score three times in the fourth off Tanner Houck.

The Red Sox got a solo homer from Masataka Yoshida and an RBI single from Justin Turner in the sixth for their only runs.
