Final: Red Sox 1, Yankees 0 - Red Sox shutout Yankees in the Bronx
The Red Sox officially win their season series against the New York Yankees with a shutout victory in the Bronx.
In seven innings on the mound, Brayan Bello limited the Yankees to three hits while also striking out five batters. Bello also did a great job handling his control only walking one batter in his outing.
The Red Sox also had difficulties against Yankees starter Max Fried, who pitched six shutout innings and struck out seven batters. Boston had multiple chances during Fried's start to score their first run, but they again struggled to produce hits with runners on base.
When Fried exited the game before the seventh inning, the Red Sox finally scored the only run of the game. Nathaniel Lowe entered the game and delivered a double to start the inning, and Connor Wong recorded another double that brought home Lowe.

Bello finished his start by pitching a 1-2-3 inning in the seventh, and the bullpen was tasked to keep the game scoreless for two more innings. Garrett Whitlock pitched a 1-2-3 inning in the eighth, and Aroldis Chapman picked up his second consecutive save to complete the shutout victory.

The Red Sox have now won seven of eight games against their arch rival his season. Being able to do goes completely in Boston's favor considering both of these teams are vying for wild card spots in the American League.
Lowe continues to impress since signing with Boston. He currently holds a four-game extra-base hit streak and has fit in well with this Red Sox lineup.
Jhostynxon Garcia also made his debut in this game. Although he struck out three times in four at-bats, Garcia did make it on base in the fourth inning with a walk.
The Red Sox continue their series tomorrow at 1:05 p.m. with Garrett Crochet on the mound.
