Final: Red Sox 11, Yankees 7 - Red Sox hit 5 home runs winning series against Yankees
The Red Sox win the rubber match against the New York Yankees 11-7.
Facing off against another left-handed starter, Boston's offense had another great game at the plate collecting five home runs.
At the beginning of the game, the Red Sox had their struggles. Hunter Dobbins got the start, and he slowed a two-run home run to Aaron Judge giving the Yankees an early 2-0 lead.

Carlos Rodon was the starter for the Yankees in this game, and the lefty allowed only one hit through four innings.
In the 5th inning, the Red Sox tied the game thanks to Kristian Campbell. After a walk from Ceddanne Rafalea, Campbell hit an opposite-field home run with two outs putting the game at 2-2.

In the same inning, the Yankees cut down Boston's lead to two runs. Brennan Bernardino and Garrett Whitlock struggled in this inning, and it resulted in the Yankees getting two runs.
As the Yankees kept trying to get back into the game, Boston kept their lead producing more runs against New York's bullpen. In the 8th inning, the Red Sox brought their lead back to four runs as Abraham Toro and Trevor Story recorded back-to-back solo shots.

The Red Sox had some difficulty closing out this game. Robert Stock gave up another home run to Judge in the 9th inning, and he walked three batters failing to get the final out. Boston had to put Aroldis Chapman in, who finished off the game.
The Red Sox had a good series offensive series against their rivals, and the final game of the series was their best. Boston's bottom of the order stepped up big. Not only did Toro, Story, Narvaez, and Campell all get home runs, but they also recorded multiple this in this game. Boston's bullpen struggled in this one, but the offense gave them the run support to mask the miscues that were made.
Tomorrow, the Red Sox will face another AL East rival in the Tampa Bay Rays. The game will be at Fenway Park with first pitch being at 7:10 p.m.
