Final: Red Sox 5, Reds 3

The Red Sox survived a ninth-inning threat by the Reds brought on by a Matt Strahm meltdown, and held on for a 5-3 victory Tuesday. Strahm walked three straight hitters in the ninth before John Schreiber closed out the game.

The Sox got homers from J.D. Martinez, Rob Refsnyder and Rafael Devers to account for four of their five runs.

Brayan Bello picked up his second win, allowing a run on seven hits over five innings.
